WikiTaxi is up to date. It works with the original Wikipedia database dumps, which are updated regularly every few weeks or so. If you feel that your offline Wikipedia is getting too old, you can go online to download a more recent version or just copy it from a friend.

WikiTaxi is simple: It requires no installation. Just extract the WikiTaxi archive to any folder, that's all. This folder can be on a fixed hard drive, or a portable device like memory stick or flash card. WikiTaxi does not modify the operating system, except for a small options *.ini file which it places right next to its own executable.

WikiTaxi is also portable: It is a single-file application which you just need to double-click to run. It does not require a database engine or HTML browser, nor does it require PHP. All functionality is completely self-contained in a single executable.

WikiTaxi is easy to maintain: To uninstall, simply delete the executable file. To remove an outdated database, just erase the file.

This version has been cooking up for quite some time now. Version 2.0.0 brings you a complete rewrite of the application. I got to the point where I exceeded the limits of the scripting language I was using and the program was becoming a maintenance nightmare. This isn't to say anything bad about the scripting language, in fact, it's one of the coolest tools I've used. However, it just wasn't designed for what I needed to do.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, short term, you've got a faster, more stable application, but release doesn't bring you much in the way of removal updates. There are a couple more icons and startup entries though. However, with this re-write I'm able to put together updates much more quickly. So now that the major work is done, you will start to see this application updated more frequently.

Koma-Mail is an email client which is comfortable and has very handy functions. It does not need an installation, so that you can run Koma-Mail from your flash drive but, of course, also on your desktop.

Spam Recognition

The Learning Filter recognizes more than 98% of all incoming spam mails. Use the Training Area, to increase the recognition rate continuously.

You can also specify certain words, that often appear in spam mails. The Spam-Word-Filter will look for these words.(1)

There’s yet another highlight: The new Link Filter searches incoming messages for links to spam websites.

Finally, Spamihilator contains the DCC-Filter which connects with the DCC Network to recognize unsolicited bulk mail.

Support of POP3 and IMAP accounts

Lists of Senders

Add your buddys’ mail addresses to the List of Friends. Spamihilator will render all messages from these senders to your mail client.

Messages from senders, which are listed on the List of Blocked senders, will always be blocked. Spamihilator is even able to delete such messages directly on the mail server without downloading them! (optional)

Separate Spam and Non-Spam!

All recognized spam mails will be saved to the Spamihilator Recycle Bin. They will not be rendered to your mail client. Ideally you don’t even have to check the Recycle Bin, so a best possible separation between Spam and Non-Spam can be achieved!
Of course, you can restore messages from the Recycle Bin.

Use the Training Area to teach Spamihilator. It will learn which mails are Spam and which are not. It will become better and better! After a few days of training the recognition rate will be at least 98%!

Usability

Actually, Spamihilator runs with all mail clients that support POP3.
Of course, there is a Setup-Wizard, which automatically configures your mail client.(4)

Spamihilator is available with several translations and has got a comprehensive Online Help. Furthermore the program lets you know when there is a new version available.
